The former Baywatch star says she supports Assange and is concerned for his well-being

Pamela Anderson, the Canadian-American actress best known for her work on the 1990s TV series Baywatch, visited Assange at the Ecuadorean embassy in London.
The Associated Press reports that the 49-year-old actress, who says she supports Assange and has concerns for his family and well-being, came bearing gifts. Among them was a vegan lunch.
It was “a nice vegan lunch and some vegan snacks,” Anderson — a vocal animal-rights activist and lifelong vegetarian — reportedly told the U.K.’s Press Association.
Assange was apparently unimpressed with the meal choice. “He said I tortured him with bringing him vegan food,” Anderson said.
Assange has been living in the embassy since July 2012, fleeing a possible extradition to Sweden over a rape charge, which he fears could in turn lead to a subsequent extradition to the U.S. for his role in obtaining and publishing classified information.
