A new version that's un-retouched is on the way
If you were trying to find Meghan Trainor’s new “Me Too” music video yesterday, you probably didn’t have much luck. The pop star debuted the video to the second single off her new album Thank You Monday, but its life online was short-lived.
The singer promptly took down the video because of massive photoshopping—none of which had been approved by Trainor.
“I missed it,” Trainor told Andy Cohen of the video’s photoshopping on Watch What Happens Live Monday night. They displayed an image from the video of Trainor with a tiny waist, prompting her to stand up and proudly show the audience her actual figure.
“I was so upset because I thought the fans were doing it online when they were screenshotting it…and then I saw my video and I was like, ‘Oh my God, it’s my own video.’ And I called the Gods of Vevo, and I said, ‘Take that down now.’”
Trainor also posted a video to Snapchat explaining why she took down the video:
Don’t worry, “Me Too” is coming back. “I fixed it, I approved a new version and it’s coming out like tomorrow morning,” she told Cohen. The waist the singer loves and thinks is “snatch” will be front and center.
