La Guardia Cross hilariously helps his toddler make her mother a special card
Like I always tell my daughter, just because you’re unemployed, don’t speak any recognizable languages, and constantly poo yourself, that doesn’t mean you can’t give mommy a gift on Mother’s Day.
My 1-year-old daughter is great at giving affection. She sees me hug and kiss mommy, so she hugs and kisses mommy too. She also kisses our cats, her toys, herself in the mirror, other toddlers, random objects and trash. She loves without borders.
This will be the first time my daughter plays an active role in celebrating the existence of Mommy, beyond the hugs and kisses. I wanted her first gifting contribution to come from a genuine and natural place.
All toddlers are born with a gift, the ability to make abstract art from anything that leaves a mark. To channel this side of her, I rummaged through our home to find paper, markers, stickers, and glitter. I had no idea what would happen, but I knew that whatever was created would be one of a kind and we’d do it together.
What better way to show mommy we love her than to make her something with our own 4 hands manically colliding to make a cluster…of fun.
