Not the smartest move
A robbery suspect fleeing a crime scene in Washington D.C. on Tuesday jumped a fence at the White House in an effort to escape, triggering a lockdown and leading to his arrest.
The man—who has not been identified—fled a robbery that took place across the street, jumped a fence near the Eisenhower Executive Office Building and was arrested by U.S. Secret Service officers, the Associated Press reported.
President Barack Obama was at the White House at the time of the incident, and the complex was briefly placed on lockdown.
The White House has previously dealt with fence-jumpers, and the Secret Service has attempted to step up security to prevent similar occurrences.
