+ READ ARTICLERumors are spreading around the Internet faster than they ever did in Stars Hollow with the news that a Gilmore Girls revival could be on its way to Netflix. The streaming company is reportedly in talks for a limited-series revival that would involve series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, producer Daniel Palladino. The show’s star, Lauren Graham, weighed in on Twitter, writing that she can’t confirm or deny the rumors. If everything is true, and the core cast is set to return, there are many questions that need answering. Including, but not limited to:
Are Luke and Lorelai together?
The final season ended with a sweet look between the will-they-won’t-they couple. It seems inevitable that they’ll officially put that chuppah to good use and tie the knot already.
How will the show handle Edward Hermann’s death?
Hermann, who died on New Year’s Eve in 2014 of brain cancer, played Richard Gilmore, father to Lorelai and grandfather to Rory. The limited series is reportedly taking place eight years after the series ended, so it’s unclear how the creators will offer closure.
Does Rory still work in journalism? Did she continue to cover Barack Obama as president?
Rory dipped out on her and Lorelai’s plan to ride all of the roller coasters on the eastern seaboard in order to hit the campaign trail with Barack Obama, who, at the time of the finale, was still just a senator. Will we see Rory talking to Chuck Todd? Calling out Joe Scarborough on air? Getting coffee with Jessica Yellin? Inspiring Malia and Sasha to read The Iliad?
What happened to Paris Geller?
Last we saw Paris, she was off to medical school. Is she the greatest doctor ever (with quite possibly the worst bedside manner?). Or did she switch roles completely and become, say, a White House aide having an affair with the president or even a law assistant to Professor Annalise Keating?
Where in the world is Max Medina?
Is he scarred by the daisies he sent to Lorelai? Did he ever get over her? Let’s be honest, does anyone get over her? Here’s looking at you, Christopher.
Is Kirk still weird?
How many jobs has Kirk had since we last saw him? Is he still dating Lulu?
Is Luke serving pour over brew?
Obviously not, right?
Is there a Starbucks in Stars Hollow?
If there is, no doubt Luke is very much against it and asks the entire town to abstain from Pumpkin Spice Lattes.
Does Luke’s allow smartphones?
Are people allowed to be on their phones if they’re not actually talking on them—does Luke’s even have Wi-Fi?
Will there finally be more diversity?
One of the biggest complaints about the series’ initial run was that there were very few non-white characters. Hopefully the revival will take that criticism to heart.
Has Lorelai’s diet backfired yet?
There’s a chance she tried green juice at least once or even gave Paleo a try before ditching it. But all in all, the fictional metabolism of Lorelai Gilmore is not to be messed with.
Where are Lane’s twins?
If the time jump is really eight years in the future, they’re probably already playing guitar by now. Also, is Lane’s band Hep Alien still together?

Did Jess self publish an e-book that becomes a hit movie?
Jess would be a star at Sundance, editing his adapted scripts over soy lattes and quinoa oatmeal in Los Angeles. All while wearing a leather jacket, of course.

Seriously, even in the early 2000s, the floppy-hair look did not look good.
What is happening in Rory’s love life?
Shippers all have hopes that Rory will get back together with one of the three big men in her life, but outside of the Logan-Jess-Dean trifecta, Rory may have met someone new. Who knows, maybe she’ll finally reconnect with Tristan?
