Williams lends his voice to a scruffy dog in the forthcoming British comedy
+ READ ARTICLEIt’s been a year since the world lost Robin Williams, and many fans are still grappling with the reality that they’ve seen all there is to see of Williams onscreen. But moviegoers will have one final chance to see Williams—or, at least, to hear him—in the British sci-fi comedy Absolutely Anything, out in theaters in the U.K. Aug. 14.
In the movie, Simon Pegg plays Neil Clarke, a teacher who finds himself with newfound powers bestowed upon him by a group of aliens voiced by all the living members of Monty Python. Williams lends his voice to Dennis, Neil’s dog, who remains loyal throughout Neil’s adventure.
It may feel to some like an insufficient use of such a unique talent, but it’s one last chance to see Williams’ new work—before setting your DVD player to play Mrs. Doubtfire on an endless loop.
