Perhaps not the best pool to leave your kid unattended. The world’s deepest pool, called “Y-40 The Deep Joy,” is located at the 4-star Hotel Terme Millepini complex in Montegrotto Terme, Italy. It measures 21×18 meters (69×59 feet) and has a maximum depth of 40 meters (131 feet). That’s like diving the height of a 12-story building.
Designed by architect Emanuele Boaretto, the pool was created with the goal of becoming the “best swimming pool in the world.” The hotel offers plenty of activities for its guests, including: scuba diving, free diving, watsu, aqua fitness, hydro-kinesi therapy, and pregnancy exercises.
