A student at a Denver, Colo. high school was hospitalized Monday after deliberately setting himself on fire in the school’s cafeteria, where an adult put out the blaze with a fire extinguisher.

It’s still unclear whether the student made any threats or statements beforehand, and the Westminister Police Department spokeswoman Cheri Spottke said she didn’t know the extent of the student’s injuries, the Associated Press reports. The blaze began at 7:15 a.m. at Standley Lake High School in Westminster, northwest of Denver, where classes have been canceled for the day.

No additional details about the student have been released.
